- Two routes, both valid: from the app (Settings → “Request account deletion”) or by writing to us if you have already uninstalled it.
- The request is carried out by your company from its panel: asking is not instant, and the maximum period is thirty days.
- Your account, your personal data, your photo and your location history are deleted. Your driver file (CDL, medical card, MVR and drug tests) is deleted too, except what your company must keep by law: the file, while you work for it and up to 3 years after; drug and alcohol tests, from 1 to 5 years.
- Load paperwork (BOL and POD) and the payment record are kept without your personal data for three years: they are the proof of billing and the law requires them.
This page explains how to ask for your account and your data to be deleted from the Navix application and the dispatch platform. There are two routes and both count: from the application itself, or by writing to us if you no longer have it installed. In both cases the deletion is carried out by your company, which is the controller of your data; we process it on their behalf.
Who deletes, and why your company carries it out
On this platform each company sees only its own data, and each role is clear: the company you work for is the controller of your data and we are the processor, handling it on their instructions. That is why your company carries out the deletion: it decides about its own files and answers for them. The application only sends the request and raises the notice on the dispatch panel.
That has a practical consequence worth knowing: asking is not the same as being deleted. In between, your account keeps working normally, and the application shows that the request has been made.
1. From the app (the fastest route)
- Open Navix and sign in with your account.
- Go to Settings and, below “Log out”, tap “Request account deletion”.
- Read the notice — it says what is deleted and what is kept — and confirm. We ask twice because it cannot be undone.
- When it is done, the row stays on “Account deletion requested” and we tell you on screen. There is nothing else for you to do.
If you have a load that is not closed, the application will not let you ask and tells you which one it is: “You have load #X open. Finish it, or ask your dispatcher to close it, before deleting your account.” The paperwork for that load is the proof of delivery and of what is billed, so it is closed first.
What the application does not do when you ask: it does not sign you out, it does not stop recording location and it does not delete anything on its own. You keep working normally until your company carries out the deletion.
2. Without the app (or if you already uninstalled it)
You can also ask without having the application installed, and it counts exactly the same. Write to the contact address on this page, from your account's email address, with the subject “Borrar mi cuenta Navix”. That is enough: you do not need to explain anything.
If you write from a different address, we will ask you to prove the account is yours before deleting it. That protects you: otherwise anyone could ask for somebody else's account to be deleted.
And if you work for a client company, we can process the request for you: you write to us, we pass it on and tell you what they answered. We reply within a maximum of thirty days.
3. What is deleted
When your company carries out the deletion, all of this goes:
| What | What happens | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your login account | Deleted | You will not be able to sign in with it again. It is not disabled or frozen: it is deleted. |
| Your personal data | Deleted | It is your personal information and is not needed for anything else. |
| Your photo and your push token | Deleted | They make no sense without the account: a push notification cannot reach an account that no longer exists. |
| Your driver file | Deleted, except what the law requires to keep | It is your personal information. But transport law (FMCSA) requires your company to keep part of it; see section 4. |
| Your location history | Deleted | It is the most sensitive data we hold about you. Once the deletion is carried out, your phone stops recording your position. |
4. What is kept, and why
Some things cannot be deleted, and that is not our decision: the law requires them. This is everything that stays:
| What | How long | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Load paperwork | Three years | They are the proof that the load was delivered and of what was billed. Transport and tax rules require them, so they cannot be deleted earlier even if you ask. |
| Your driver file, if your company must keep it | 1 to 5 years | Transport law (FMCSA) requires the company to keep a driver’s file while they work for it and up to 3 years after, and drug and alcohol test results for 1 to 5 years, depending on the type of test. After that, it is deleted. Your company is responsible for that file. |
| The payment and settlement record | Three years | It is the company's money record, without your personal data. Deleting it would break invoices already issued. |
| Backups | Up to 90 more days | A backup cannot be edited: it is left to expire on its own. They rotate and are fully cleared within ninety days. |
The load paperwork stays without your personal data: what survives is the record of the operation — which load it was, when it was delivered and where it went — not your phone, your address or your file.
5. How long it takes
The maximum period is thirty days from the moment you ask, the same one promised in our privacy policy. In practice it is usually less, because the request is recorded straight away and the dispatch office gets a notice on its panel the same day.
If it is not done after that period, write to us and we will take it up: we can chase your company for it and tell you what they answered.
Frequently asked questions
Is it deleted straight away?
No. The request is recorded immediately, but your company carries it out, and for that the maximum period is thirty days. In the meantime your account keeps working normally.
Can I keep working while it is carried out?
Yes. Asking does not sign you out or change your work. The day the deletion is carried out you will no longer be able to sign in, and your company tells you so.
I have an open load and it will not let me ask
That is on purpose. The application tells you which load it is and asks you to close it first, because that load's paperwork is the proof of delivery and of what is billed. Finish it, or ask your dispatcher to close it, and try again.
Can my company keep my licence or my drug tests?
Yes, and sometimes it has to. Transport law (FMCSA) requires it to keep your driver file while you work for it and up to 3 years after, and drug and alcohol test results for 1 to 5 years. Everything else is deleted. If you have questions about your file, ask your company.
What about my load paperwork?
They are kept for three years, without your personal data. It is not our decision: they are the company's proof of billing and the law requires them. That is why they cannot be deleted earlier, even if you ask.
Does this also delete loads and settlements?
No. Your account and your personal data are deleted. The loads, their paperwork and the company's settlements stay, without your personal file: they are the record of what was hauled and what was billed.
What if I already uninstalled the application?
Write to us: that is the second route and it counts exactly the same. Uninstalling stops location recording immediately, and the deletion of what is already stored is requested by email.
